Emerging Non-Conformity

We do not see life in a cookie cutter fashion, but see that God has throughout redemptive history called diverse peoples from diverse lands, ethnic and language groups, empowered them to service, equipped them for every task before them, utilizing their uniqueness and particularity, to impact the nations with the Kingdom of God.

Non-conformity simply means that we recognize everyone’s uniqueness as an image bearer of God, and also uniqueness in gifting and calling, and that we will seek to find our place in the missio Dei and come alongside what He is doing, and live out the very heart of Jesus, to “only do what the Father is doing” (John 5:19-20).

It is not good to simply follow along with a crowd.  It is more important to find out what God is up to, and align ourselves to God and His purposes, and join in and co-labour with those that are following hard after God in like manner.  There is no need to conform to the crowd, who will either seduce or intimidate others to follow after them, but only to conform to Christ and His Word.
