Emerging Narrative Theology

A cornerstone value is narrative theology.  Our lives are lives filled with stories.  God has His own book filled with stories.  Stories of peoples. Stories communities. Stories of hope in the midst of despair.  Stories of redemption in the midst of impossible odds.  These are stories of redemption, of a God who redeems and restores.  Our own lives intersect with the stories found in the Bible, and the narrative theology found in the Scriptures, give us an opportunity to explore and discover afresh how God meets us in the middle of all our unique stories.

As we listen to each other’s stories, we hear and we see that God meets us in the middle of them all.  We realize that in sharing our stories, that God will again retell His own stories through our very own, and reveal again the uniqueness of Jesus and the beauty that is the Kingdom of God.

About Sam Buick

A lover and disciple of Jesus Christ. Married to my best friend, Lori-Anne. Father to 3 incredible daughters, Carragh, Caitlin and Erinn, and sons-in-law Alex, and Stephen Davis. An avid reader, a Droid user, a Mac addict, a lover of footy ball and football (there is a difference), and hockey. Once a soldier. Once a youth worker. Once an ordained minister. Once a claims adjuster. I don’t mind labels, labels define what type of Christian I am: I am a creationist I am a monergist I am a Trinitarian I am an imputationalist I am a Calvinist I am a cessationist ~ Samuel M. Buick
