Emerging Mystery

Within the economy of God there is at the centre of it all the mystery of God.  God cannot be fully known and understood by our finite minds.  There is a mystery to the person of God, and to His works, and how He interacts with His creation.

The ways and means and purposes of God are such that they appear mysterious to humankind.  When we think we have figured out how God deals with us, He breaks that box, for He cannot and will not be constrained by our theologies, or by our wills.  He will accomplish His purposes, and the greatest mystery of all is that He chooses to have us participate with Him in furthering the Kingdom of God.

The life we have in Christ Jesus is filled with mystery.  It is filled with the joy of newness each day, and the anticipation that God is at work in us and through us, and He mysteriously reveals to us our part, at the proper moment and time.  He is the One who reveals all the mysteries of the Kingdom as He wills through the Spirit and through the Word.

We value the mystery that is God, and how He works that mystery in and through our lives to advance the Kingdom of God.  We have an expectation but it is not defined.  God defines it along the journey of faith.
