There are thousands of Christians “outside the 4 walls” we call “church”!

It is interesting in these days to see that there are so many varied expressions of “church” in our culture, and one which most organized churches cannot comprehend is the growing number of bonafide Christians who are not going to church but love God deeply and passionately, and are are more committed to their faith than ever before. The numbers do not lie. Not only in the USA but in Canada and other nations Christians are leaving the institutional church.

Some are concerned, and other more missionally minded observers and analysts are seeing it as an awakening of what it means to be a Christian. It is not longer “go and bring your friends to church” but rather “go and be Christ to those outside of the Kingdom of God”, and “go and be His hands and feet where you live, work and play” and “go and be authentically Christian wherever you go and whatever you are involved with!” It seems to be catching on!

God appears to be calling the church back to Himself as Head, and is looking for those who claim to be His Church, to be about the Father’s business, going out, and going forth, being salt and light, life and hope to a broken world in need of grace, peace, love and truth. Now that is exciting!
