Truth through moving pictures and sound

I often use video to accompany teaching time or doing a seminar. Recently our house church network had a winter retreat and three of us did presentations on the theme “Casting the net”. We used two video clips, the word for word Scriptures of Luke 5:1-11, and the first half of John 21. It was a powerful tool, and enhanced our winter retreat.

In our housechurch we use the visual Bible as a tool to reinforce the Scripture. We read together, aloud, and dialog and discus the text, and we use the video segment to give anothe angle on the narrative.

What do you think about these videos?

On the way to the cross:

Be The Church (Jude verse 3)

Love this video:

We are saved:

This one is pretty good too, with emphasis on the church and what it believes:

This one has nothing to do with the death and resurrection of Jesus, but it is my favourite scripture, Jeremiah 29:11. I had this at my wedding, and each baby dedication of our three daughters, and at the funeral of our first born daughter, Carragh. We wrote it on her grave marker. We had it read at our 25th wedding anniversary last June 11, 2008. I love and cherish the promise in this verse, the words uttered by God to Jeremiah BEFORE being sent out into exhile from Jersalem to Babylon. What a promise!!!

Ressurection:

He Is Risen!
